As the successor of the legendary BERLIN AQUARIUM, the aquarium of the stock association of the Berlin Zoological Garden was created under the linden trees between 1911 and 1913. The Zoo Aquarium has since been one of the most biodiverse public aquariums in the world.

Extensive renovation work recently carried out ensured that the zoo aquarium has today remained the most important public aquarium in Germany.
